Lament
Lament (Vilaap)
Neither letting my
heart laugh, nor letting it cry
An insidious arrow,
which is neither killing nor living
There is no cure
For this wound
But Who keeps the scabs
No one but I will
As it speaks of you
through the veins, through the blood
Doesn’t matter
as it flows inside or
outside of my body
You took away me from
me, my breath, my heart, my everything
but you can’t take my
ache of heart
Who still yearns for
you
Like an owner with no entity,
no permission
You had the original
There is no copy.
Keep me your solace
Keep me your protector
Keep me your clown
Keep me your closet
But keep me near you
Now it is the flower
which is growing, cheeky, orphan, landless
Who wants a shelter
with you
Who wants to reside
with you
Neither letting my
heart laugh, nor letting it cry
An insidious arrow,
which is neither killing nor living
There is no cure
For this wound
